The hospitality was outstanding, and the views go on and on, unlike any others.

The view from the room is beautiful, though you can hear a lot between apartments, which might bother some people. The apartments are very well located, just steps from the Turi viewpoint, with easy access to the viewpoint and the area’s restaurants. The road to Turi also connects to the main roads, which is handy if you have your own vehicle.

The place itself is beautiful to visit, but I left dissatisfied and disappointed. For $65 a night, I expected what was advertised: a bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms, breakfast, Wi-Fi, and cable TV. The bathroom was in awful shape, with the ceiling collapsed onto the bathtub, and everything was filthy. I asked for a hot shower, but, as you might expect in Cuenca, there wasn’t one. The kitchen had a gas stove but no lighters. The young woman who checked me in said they didn’t use them there and could lend me one, but I’d have to buy one if I wanted to keep using the stove. Cable TV was there, but I couldn’t change channels because the provider hadn’t paid DirecTV, and a warning kept saying the service would soon be disconnected. We’d signed up expecting breakfast the next day, since it said it was included, but when we asked, they said it cost extra. For the price, it was a terrible experience. They don’t provide what they advertise.

The place is beautiful, with spectacular views and close to the main tourist attractions, but the noise made it impossible for me to rest or sleep. The soundproofing is minimal, so you hear shoes, conversations, and everything from nearby rooms and the ones upstairs. I can’t recommend it to light sleepers.
