Breakfast was okay for the price, though the food felt a little pricey. The hotel is very close to the tram, and my stay exceeded what I expected, so I'd come back. Some people mention noise, but there are at least three layers protecting the rooms from outside sound. Still, in the middle of bustling cuencan historic downtown, you can't expect to hear nature.

The rooms feel a bit dated, though I only stayed two nights and didn't mind. Los Balcones is right in the historic district's center and seems well known to both locals and foreign tourists. The service was impeccable, and both breakfast and the one dinner I had there were quite good.

The doorbell setup can be a little annoying, though it does make the place feel very secure. Our balcony room had some street noise at night, as you'd expect. The bathroom was nice with a modern shower, and they stored our luggage for us twice. It's a charming, unique hotel in a 180 year old converted mansion, made really comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had in Ecuador, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We'd stay again and highly recommend it.

The reception team and the rest of the service staff were friendly. Breakfast was an okay little buffet with local food, and you could order other special items too. The restaurant had plenty of choices, good tasting food, and quick service. Rooms were clean, the bed was okay, and the central location made it easy to walk around the city center.

We stayed in an apartment for 10 days in May, and it was nice. Nights were very quiet, the bed was comfortable, and we loved being just a short walk from Parque Calderon. The hotel itself is beautiful and quaint, with a very good restaurant and breakfast served on the top floor with lots of variety. The staff were the nicest and most helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and wholeheartedly recommend it.
