Hostal Villa del Rosario

I had a private upstairs room overlooking the garden and really enjoyed my stay. The lady was lovely and made me a great breakfast each morning when I asked. She also kindly let me stay past checkout while I waited for my bus. I'd recommend it!

The garden is wonderful, the location is good, and the price is fair. The rooms were clean, though the owners don't speak English. I booked for the breakfast, but it turned out to be a cold scrambled egg, rolls, coffee, and a glass of juice. Nights got fairly cold in the rooms, but there were plenty of blankets. Storage space is limited, and the beds have no curtains. Still, it's absolutely okay for the price.

After studying Spanish in Cuenca for two weeks, I was glad to have a quiet place to come back to and relax. It's close to the river and nightlife if you want to go out, but peaceful when you want to unwind. Dolores was great throughout my stay. When I mentioned I'd be there for a few weeks of study, she offered me a private room for the price of a dorm without me even asking, which was exactly what I hoped for.

This clean, well-kept hostel sits in a safe, central area, and breakfast was tasty. The hosts are incredible, genuinely kind people. The place looks a bit like a much smaller Spanish version of a Harry Potter castle. I recommend staying here.
