Hotel Ramada

The bathroom was tiny and gross, with water leaking through the wall grout onto the floor. One staff member even wanted to fight my little brother over not wearing a mask. The food was bad enough to make me question what they serve across ecuador. The free breakfast wasn't worth having, and lunch was overpriced when you could get something better around the corner for $3. Water wasn't free, despite what the website says. When we returned the key, they made us wait while they checked the room and accused us of taking a used hand towel. The hotel is terrible. Read this and the other reviews, and stay elsewhere. There are better, cheaper hotels.

The staff we met were great and really made the stay. The breakfast was included, nicely presented, and had a good selection. The TV and Wi-Fi were fine, and the hotel did a decent job keeping out road noise. We chose the place for its location, and the booking through booking.com went smoothly. We were also shown how to use the keycard and air-conditioning remote. The room was nothing like the booking.com photos, and nobody explained the alarm or where to go in an emergency. It felt old, and the drawers wouldn't open or shut properly. The curtains looked unwashed, and the safe was too small for two people. The bathroom floor was wet from a leaking hose, though laying it in the tub would have stopped the leak. One towel was missing, and the towels were old. Paint was peeling around the stained bathtub, the sink was cracked, and they used small packages of toilet paper, shampoo, and conditioner instead of bulk supplies, which would be better for the environment. Both beds shifted when we sat down and had no bedside lights or headboards, so the pillows slid down. The pillows were so small I couldn't sleep on them, and the pillows and mattresses had no protectors. The room itself was old, with functional furniture, and the safe didn't fit what we needed. The parking approach was on a road with fast, dangerous traffic. We were sprayed with alcohol on entry because of COVID restrictions. The restaurant was overpriced and had a very limited menu, so I'd eat elsewhere. I know there was reconstruction happening, but the room we got didn't match the website photos. For all these reasons, this is a one-night stay at most. More than one night is too much.

The shower barely had any water pressure, and its dirty curtain kept brushing against me. The room had no windows that opened. For what felt like a $15 stay, the price was way too high. Avoid it.

I found hairs all over the sheets just as I was going to bed. They looked used and unchanged, which was disgusting. The rooms were already tiny, dirty, outdated, and overpriced, with a damp old smell. Their advertised “onsite parking” is actually street parking, not a private lot. This shouldn't call itself a 4 star hotel. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, even to another actual 4 star place for less.
