The staff were friendly and spoke great English, and the place was very clean and tidy. We stayed in Guayaquil before our flight to Galápagos, and it's a quick 10-minute taxi ride to the airport or the main bus station, which is in the same building. I'll stay here again when I pass through Guayaquil.
Despite being in the middle of busy Guayaquil, this is a lovely, peaceful place. The staff are really helpful, the kitchen is good, and the interior is beautiful with plants covering it. I'd definitely recommend staying here, whether you're heading to Galapagos or up the coast.
We only planned to spend one night in Guayacil, but liked the place so much that we stayed another. Our room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was included and delicious. The staff helped us work out where we could watch Star Wars and called a cab for us. There's also a big lounge area for relaxing, with a nice collection of classical and classic rock CDs to listen to.
A nice, laid-back spot to stay before a flight. It was reasonably close to the airport.
