Hotel Magic Paradise

Washington knows the jungle well from his years as a guide, and his advice was really useful for our Cuyabeno trip. He also made sure our quick stop at Magic Paradise went smoothly, helping arrange whatever we needed. The place itself was lovely. We stayed one day and night in November 2025, and renting a quad to get around town was a great option if you have a motorcycle license and know how to use the brakes. Sorry again about those brakes, and thanks, Washington! You can take the man out of the jungle, but not the jungle out of the man. Highly recommend.

The animals around the property were such a fun extra. I loved walking around and spotting monkeys, sheep, ducks, and others. The team looked after me throughout my stay and helped me figure out how to get in and out of the area, even making sure I reached the airport on time at the end of my trip. I had a great time at the Hotel, and really appreciate how much Washington helped arrange my Amazon trip afterward.

There are some interesting animals on the property, and the owner, Washington, knows a lot about Ecuador and the local area. He speaks English and was very helpful with tourist information. A real little gem in Nueva Loja, with clean rooms, good showers, and air conditioning.

Washington was a great host, spoke perfect English, and was really helpful. The place is quiet since it sits outside the city, and my room was tidy and very clean with air con. There’s also a handy dispenser with cold filtered water.
