Room 14 has a great view, and the staff are pretty chill while still making an effort to keep your stay pleasant. The pool was clean, which can be hard to find. Breakfast is self-serve, so you may need to adjust if you're used to being served. There are quite a lot of stairs, and not every room has a plasma screen, but you're traveling, so you'll be fine.

The outdoor space is lovely, with a garden, pool, jacuzzi, and comfortable places to sit. The locked gate made the place feel secure. Inside, the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and there was a small fridge in the room. A lovely little hostel with great service.

The food was the highlight for me, especially the tigrillo with eggs and black coffee. Both breakfast and lunch were varied and splendid. The service was great, and the place has the best view. My room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.

The hotel has its own personality, with each room a little different. My single room had an ocean view and patio, and at $40 for one night I thought it was a good deal, even though similar rates are available nearby. The internet connection was fast in the room, and there was hot water and a/c. There's also an outdoor pool, which I didn't use. It's slightly off the beaten path, about a slow 10-15 minute walk south from Playa Murciegalo. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around, with mostly neighborhood streets otherwise. The staff were friendly, and I'd come back.
