There was no dinner available on the night we stayed. In the morning, as we were heading out for a walk, they asked us to check out early and leave our bags at reception because a big group was arriving later. We booked directly on their website and confirmed by email, but when we arrived they had no record of the reservation. Luckily, the place wasn't full. The beds were small and just okay. The hotel was fine, but the owners and employees didn't seem to have a feel for hospitality.

The staff were warm and accommodating, the location was good, and our room was just the right size for our two nights at Runa Wasi. The water was the one issue after our hike: it only got lightly lukewarm, enough for a quick rinse rather than a proper bath. Still, we had a wonderful stay!

The staff were great and made us a fire before bed. Breakfast was tasty. The location is close to town, with lots of restaurants and tiendas, and the Quilotoa lookout is a five-minute walk away.
