We only stayed one night because of our early 6am flight, so there wasn't much time to take it all in. The grounds are spectacularly beautiful, and both the food and the room were good. It's around 20-25 minutes from Quito Airport and quite a way from the town center, including the tourist areas and old town Quito. You can see the hotel's charm and potential.

We stayed in the high-end luxury matrimonial suite. It was clean and very nice, with a king-size bed. There seem to be simpler, smaller rooms too. The hotel has the feel of a small villa, with a courtyard, gardens, indoor and outdoor bars, and a pool area. The restaurant was lovely, with excellent food at very reasonable prices, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and did a great job. Breakfast and the airport shuttle are included, so keep that in mind when comparing prices. The drive from Quito airport is about 25 minutes. We were only here for one night on the way home.

The place looks fantastic after you come through the main entrance, with a small villa feel. The staff were very friendly and spoke English very well. Our rooms were modest, and I wasn't sure whether they had air conditioning. We were in the back, where the trash truck was far too loud at 3am. The location is quite a bit from the airport, in an area that didn't feel safe to walk around. There was a security guard at the entrance. We waited an hour in the airport's "hotel shuttle" parking area at the arranged time, but no shuttle showed up. It's a small airport, so I'm not sure whether we missed it or they didn't come. We took a $20 taxi to the hotel instead. The ride to the airport in the morning went fine. Breakfast is included, but we had to leave too early for it. They kindly gave us a takeaway box with an apple, juice, muffin, and fruit bar.

Rincón de Puembo is absolutely beautiful, with comfortable rooms and amazing food. The colonial town of Puembo has quaint restaurants and shops just a few minutes' walk away, and the location and shuttle service make getting there from the Quito airport easy. I've traveled all over the world, but haven't experienced service like this. The staff are attentive, quick to respond to needs, and consistently positive. David’s service especially stood out as exceptional. Highly recommend Rincón de Puembo!

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and we enjoyed the breakfast. The airport shuttle was great. Just be aware that the hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport, and the mountainous terrain can make it feel farther than it looks on a map.
