The rooms had the basics, though ours wasn't very clean. There wasn't a proper blanket, just a sheet, and the shower's single tube sent the water out really hard. The people were nice and accommodating. It's a convenient couple of blocks from the pier where you catch ferries. For one night the price was cheap, so it was okay for what we paid.

We went with the cheapest of the couple of price options, and it was perfectly comfortable and nice. The manager was lovely. The curtains let in plenty of light, as they seem to in most places in South America, but we used our towels to block it. Great location!

Our room had no wifi, and the place was a bit noisy for us. Other than that, everything was excellent. We had a private bathroom, laundry service and a king-size bed. There was a restaurant too, though we didn't try it. The water was hot, with low pressure, but at least it didn't scald you like at some other hostals.

Jaquelina is incredibly sweet and helpful, and the location is great. We stayed a few nights as a group, then went to another island; when we returned to Puerto Ayora, we came straight back to Hotel Salinas. I've had a great experience here both with a group and as a couple. They're clearly making a lot of beneficial changes to the hotel.

He was very rude and unfriendly. The shower didn't work properly, and there was no refill water available. Wifi only worked in reception. I left after one night and found a better place for the same price.
