The location was the best part, and the staff were friendly. The place was decent, though breakfast was limited and just okay. They had some odd rules, like switching off the air conditioning every day. The room got so hot that the chocolate I’d bought to take home melted, and we had to hand in the key each day.

The rooms were dirty, and the stained bed covers made that especially clear. Toiletries weren’t replenished, so it seemed like the bathroom barely got cleaned. The hotel is dated, and breakfast was disappointing. Its location is the only real plus, though there are other nearby hotels that may be worth the money. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, and the hotel has a lovely, unusual feel, almost like a house built by Hundertwasser. For a sea view, though, you need to be on an upper floor, so ask for one. Breakfast was okay, but with all the food treasures on these islands, it could have been more generous.

The only real snag was the bathroom sink: there was no hot water, so I had to wash my face in the shower. Otherwise, it was basic but very clean, with a nice breakfast and interesting Spanish-style architecture. Everyone was very friendly.
