Villa Laguna

We were still hungry after breakfast, and asking for more bread didn’t help because they wouldn’t provide any. The check-in was confusing too: our rooms were wrong, and we had to switch three times before things were sorted out. If you get a first-floor room above the kitchen, expect to be woken around 6 am. The walls are thin, and the cook makes a lot of noise.

The pool made a lovely place to unwind and sunbathe on our last day. We spent five days here for our honeymoon, and the room suited us perfectly. The staff were so kind, and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. It’s under a five-minute walk to the center of town, with plenty of shops along the way.

Breakfast and service were great, and the central location was still quiet enough. Our room was clean and comfortable, though pretty simple. We’d asked for a double bed but got three twins. There were only two bath towels, which we used at the pool, and we couldn’t figure out where to get more.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating, and my room was comfortable, with a balcony, TV, WiFi, and a big, cozy bed. It’s a bit away from the main attractions on Avenida Charles Darwin and Avenida Baltra. There were also loads of insects in the hallways and rooms. They were just little beetles, which didn’t bother me, though I know some people would find that gross.
