The room had peeling wallpaper, a questionable shower with exposed wires, a dirty kitchen and items left behind when I arrived. It seemed barely cleaned and generally neglected. The price is low, but I think you could find better value elsewhere. The location and WiFi were great, and the AC worked pretty well, though for some reason its settings were flipped. I probably wouldn't stay again.

The staff were kind and helpful, though they don't speak English. Luckily, we could get by with Google Translate. My room was very simple, just one bed, which I expected for the low price. The air-con worked well, but I had to climb on a chair to reach its switch. Mobile reception was poor in the room; WiFi was decent for email and social media, but slow for video. I missed the complimentary breakfast because my 360 tour and ferry to Santa Cruz started before breakfast at 7:30. The location is right in the town centre, only a two-minute walk from the main pier, so it's good value for money.

The location was great and the AC worked well. Our room was a good size, but the bed was broken and propped up with two bricks, with trash left underneath by previous guests. The bathroom was very moldy and the shower door was broken. The breakfast to go was two pieces of bread and an apple; at the hotel it was coffee, juice, two pieces of bread and a few bits of fruit, pretty plain. I wasn't expecting luxury for the price, but I did expect it to be clean.

The location is good, and the coffee place right across the street is worth checking out. But we loved San Cristobal and were disappointed by the hostel. Our two beds in the private room were fine, while the kitchen was nearly useless and full of ants. The front desk lady was kind, though even our few requests seemed like a burden. Breakfast starts at a weird time, 7:30, but the 360 tour I'm sure most people take starts at 7, and she wouldn't make an exception. It felt too pricey for what they offer. I'd stay elsewhere, especially since Cristobal is the island I'd most like to return to someday.

Cute place, close to the ocean and lots of restaurants. WiFi is available, and breakfast was delicious, with fruit, eggs, bread, tea, coffee and juice. The AC worked well, but the windows weren't sealed properly, so the room warmed up quickly. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and the water ran on the cold side. Given the climate, though, that wasn't a big deal.
