The place was simple, but it had what I needed, and it was kept really clean. There’s filtered water and snorkel gear at no cost, plus a well-stocked kitchen and air conditioning in the rooms. The owner was incredibly kind too.

Dulia made it easy to feel at home. She was warm and helpful, but never hovered, so even though I’m usually cautious about sharing space with strangers, I felt fine hanging out in the common areas or stopping by for water and a chat. The hostel was spotless, the cleanest I’ve stayed in, and the Wi-Fi was great. It’s a quiet, sleepy sort of place rather than somewhere to meet lots of party people, though I’m not sure there are many of those on the island anyway. I’d happily recommend this guest house.

The shared guest kitchen had enough to put together simple meals, though you’ll need to bring your own cooking oil. We also found the more residential neighborhood useful for picking up cheaper food and bread. The center of town is around a 400-500m walk away. Our room was comfortable, with air conditioning and daily cleaning. The hot shower worked well, and the Wi-Fi was about as good as you can get in the Galapagos. Filtered water was available downstairs in the family kitchen next to reception.

The host was lovely and always ready to help. We found the rooms really comfortable, and the bed may have been the best we slept in anywhere in Ecuador. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of equipment. It was also very affordable, with daily room cleaning and towels included. I’ll recommend it to other travelers.
