Wyndham Quito Airport

We spent three nights here while waiting for a transfer. The large windows bring in lovely natural light and create a great atmosphere, and we also enjoyed the sauna and steam bath. The hotel was clean throughout, with friendly staff all around. Kristina at check-in was especially welcoming, and breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend the place.

The bedrooms are spacious, with large bathrooms and beautiful mountain views. A free shuttle to the airport runs every 30 minutes, which is handy, since the airport is close enough to walk to in about five minutes, though I don't think the pedestrian routes are safe. The hotel is nicely decorated, and the staff are attentive and helpful from reception to the restaurant. There's good gym equipment, with shower and changing rooms nearby; towels are available if you ask. The heated pool is small, better for relaxing than swimming laps. I tried the steam room and sauna, but even after waiting an hour from when they were switched on, they still weren't hot enough. Breakfast has a very good range of choices, and dinner is available as either a buffet or à la carte. The ground-floor terrace is a pleasant sunny spot for drinks, and it's also where smoking is allowed.

From arrival onward, everything about my stay last night at the Wyndham Hotel was wonderful. The team gave me a complimentary upgrade, a lovely surprise, and printed some important documents for me at no extra cost. I appreciated the thoughtful welcome, including a free drink and a special appetizer. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the whole team showed real care, attention, and professionalism. I'd gladly stay again and recommend the hotel.

After coming back from the Galapagos, I added an extra day here and was glad I did. The food was wonderful, and the people were super friendly. There are a hot tub, sauna, and steam room too. I'd highly recommend staying here before flying straight back home to the US.
