Red Emperor Hostel

There’s lots of room to hang out and meet other travelers or locals, with games and pool tables too. I loved the ceiling and wall decor. The hostel is easy to get to from the bus and train stations, and it’s close to Old Town. It has plenty of showers and bathrooms, plus lockers. The hostel entrance and bar have separate entrances, and the place felt very secure. We went to the public bar area one night, but the live music was too grungy and alternative for our taste.

The bedrooms felt a bit unclean, and I was uneasy about people leaving the bedroom doors unlocked. Apart from that, it’s a nice place to stay, very close to the old town. It has the feel of a typical Australian hostel, with happy hours and super happy hours for cheap beer. Guests get to know each other through things like pub crawls, and the reception staff were kind and ready to help. The showers were clean too.

I often stop by the bar, though I’ve never stayed in the hostel. It’s usually packed with travelers from all over the world, so you hear some wild stories. The furniture and decorations are different every time I visit. The music is great, the staff are friendly, and there are games to play.

I went with five friends, all of us aged 20-25. We had fun at the bar beside the hostel, where you can play drinking games. The staff were really nice, and they gave us free coffee in the morning and a fresh towel.
