Swissotel Tallinn

The breakfast was a real highlight, with omelettes made to order, avocado toast, and even freshly squeezed orange juice, which is rare in Northern Europe. Rooms are spacious and the views from higher floors are nice. The location is fairly good too, within walking distance of the main attractions. The spa is really just a pool, a regular sauna, and a small steam room, so it feels more like a sauna with a pool than a proper spa. Access isn’t included with every room rate, and buying it separately probably isn’t worth it. The building hasn’t been renovated since it was built 15-20 years ago. It’s mostly kept in good shape, but you can see wear and tear, and the decor, including the top-floor bar, hasn’t aged well. Service seemed well meant, though staff sometimes sounded robotic, as if repeating lines and compliments from a hospitality manual. This was easily Tallinn’s best hotel a decade ago, but these days it’s fallen behind in a lot of ways. Given the top rates it still charges in the city, it may be worth looking at other options too.

We loved the stay, especially the spacious, beautiful, and clean room and the very comfortable bed. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the view from our room was 10/10. Everything we might need was there, from shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and cotton pads to a nail file. The towels and bathrobes were excellent quality too. There was a wide choice at breakfast, including omelettes you could order with your choice of ingredients. The spa is small, but cozy and beautifully styled.

The views from the upper floors over Tallinn and the Baltic Sea were spectacular, whether at sunrise or after dark. The hotel is centrally located but still feels serene, and Swissôtel Tallinn made for a very comfortable stay, with spacious, elegant rooms that blend modern comforts with some luxury touches. Service was warm and attentive from arrival, and the staff were professional and thoughtful throughout. Their care and attention to detail made interactions feel easy and personal. The food was another highlight: breakfast had plenty of high-quality options for both international and local tastes, and the hotel restaurants offered refined flavors, excellent ingredients, and service to match. The spa, pool, and wellness areas were well maintained and made it easy to relax. Swissôtel Tallinn delivers on service, comfort, dining, and views. It lives up to its reputation and is a strong choice for business or leisure. Highly recommended.

It’s well placed for both the Old Town and modern shopping and transport. We had a pleasant stay throughout and would happily return.
