Come here for the local feel, especially if you want something quite different from downtown Aswan. The owner is friendly and makes you feel at home. There’s a terrace overlooking the Nile and the tombs, plus a garden where you can have good food for breakfast and dinner. The room itself is basic for comfort, but you may not want to spend much time in it if you enjoy the terrace and garden.

The owner sat down to eat with us and showed us his beautiful garden, which made the place feel like home. My friend and I came from the U.S., and this guest house was our favorite place in Egypt. It’s next to the desert, and we could walk straight to the Aswan Nobles Tombs. Being on the west bank made it quieter, with fresh air and a spectacular Nile view. I watched the sunrise over the mountains from the rooftop. The ferry is right nearby and costs only 5 pounds to cross. They cook fresh food for you every day. We really felt like family here.

The accommodation was clean and peaceful, and the breakfast Abdel cooked was great. He was a kind, welcoming host who took us into the city and showed us good places to eat. The location is beautiful and away from the noise of the city. He also arranged a great trip to abu simbel, which we’d recommend.

The guesthouse is in a wonderfully peaceful spot on the West Bank of Aswan. Abdel made the visit special, teaching me about Nubian culture and inviting me to play dominoes with his friends. He even covered dinner and tea. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed, full stop.

Abdul arranged everything, including trips to Abu Simbel and the Temple of Philae, and a Nile cruise on his own boat. He also took us to a friend’s wedding, which gave us an amazing glimpse into historical Nubian culture. My husband and I from the USA spent five nights here in a lovely home on the quiet west bank of Aswan. All the meals were delicious, and we didn’t want to leave. Don’t hesitate to stay here, you’ll love it.
