I will never come back, and I strongly warn others to stay away. This place was dirty, chaotic, noisy and poorly maintained, with a team that seemed to have no idea how hospitality should work. The room and service were among the worst I’ve experienced in Egypt, and one star feels far too generous. I usually choose simple, comfortable places in the city center, and after more than 10 years working in hospitality, I can say this hostel fell to the lowest standard I’ve seen. The staff were rude and inconsiderate. At 8:00 AM, the cleaning lady banged on my door twice and woke me in a panic just to ask if I “needed anything.” I told her politely that I was asleep and that it wasn’t appropriate, but she acted as though disturbing guests early in the morning was normal. My booking involved switching between a single and a double room. Before leaving the building, I made it very clear that I would move my own luggage before the 12:00 PM checkout and nobody was to enter my room or touch my things. Both the receptionist and the cleaning lady said they understood. But when I came back at 11:00 AM, a full hour before checkout, they had entered without permission, touched my belongings and started cleaning. The cleaning lady was unbelievably rude about it, as if I had no right to be upset and she could come in whenever she wanted because she “wanted to finish early.” That felt completely disrespectful.
