Crown Hotel

The beds were comfortable, and I slept really well, which surprised me in a city like Cairo that never sleeps. Daily cleaning was done, and all the essentials were on hand. For the quality and price, this is a really good place to stay. Crown Hotel is well placed for the main sights and museums. The people running it made the stay, especially the welcoming manager, who was always ready to help. On our third day he made us a tasty, filling Egyptian breakfast and took time to suggest what to see and do and how to get there. He did it all with real care, something I really appreciate and don't find so easily these days. Thanks to the manager and all the staff!

The room was a little smaller than I expected, and breakfast was served in the room. The staff were very helpful. The street has no cars, but there's a bar that can get noisy late into the night. It's also hard to find: the signage is poor, and the hotel is on an upper floor of a nondescript building.

The staff were really friendly, and the location is great for exploring Cairo on foot. They offer tours and transfers, but you can find cheaper alternatives. When we arrived, they asked us to cancel the website booking and pay them directly. It didn't cause us a problem, but be sure to double-check the prices. Overall, I'd recommend it!

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a fridge, water, and heating. The hotel was clean, the staff were excellent, and the price felt fair for the location. We arrived before our room was ready, but they let us use another room to freshen up and use the bathroom, then kept our bags while we were out for the day. We’d stay again.
