The staff were kind, welcoming and helpful, and the location was the one good thing about this hotel. That wasn’t enough to make up for everything else. Our sheets and pillowcase had a shocking amount of black hair on them, and it looked like they hadn’t been washed after the previous guests. The toilet wouldn’t flush at all, there was no bottled water, and although we booked a king-size bed, we were given a room with three separate beds. After 20 days in Egypt, this was our first bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Sanaa was really helpful. The hotel is very cheap for somewhere in the city center, so it’s a good place to stay if you’re watching your budget. If you want quality and comfort, though, go to Hilton and spend a lot more 😀

I’ve stayed at Downtown inn on several visits to Cairo, including this one. The location is perfect, with around 4 metro stations, shopping areas and the city center nearby. The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was clean with hot water and towels. There was also a mini fridge and kettle in the room. Everyone at reception was so welcoming and always smiling, which made me feel good. Thank you, guys! We’ll definitely stay here again next time.

I felt like I was at a second home during my lovely stay at downtown inn hotel. The room was clean, the location was really nice and close to everything I needed, and the staff were so nice and hospitable.
