Holy Sheet Hostel

We loved staying here. The hostel was nice and clean, in a safe, lively area inside an old building. The staff were incredibly friendly and caring, always ready for a chat or to tell us about the area. They can also arrange excursions at a great price compared with what you find online. I recommend it.

The interior is elegant, decorative, and well organized, with a lovely Egyptian theme and ancient Egyptian structures. It felt cozy and spacious inside, just like the photos, and I really liked the look. The staff were very attentive and always smiling, with a great service attitude and charisma. The entrance threw me off. At first I thought it led somewhere else, and the hidden, poorly placed entrance made the location feel like it didn’t match the accommodation. Still, everything was fine once I went in.

Yousuf at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. He even arranged our excursion to the pyramids, which was fantastic. The hostel is in a very convenient spot, with everything we needed within easy walking distance. Our private room was comfortable and clean, and gave us the privacy we wanted. We had the hostel arrange an airport cab for $25, which is pricey for the area but very convenient. We had a great stay and I’d definitely come back.

I had an amazing 3 night stay. The front desk staff were so helpful and full of information, especially the woman at reception and the curly-haired gentleman. They really went above and beyond to make sure guests had a good experience. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you want to be in downtown Cairo.
