The staff were helpful, and it's a safe place at a good price for a short business trip. The room was cozy, though nothing special, and clean enough but not spotless. It's noisy and crowded nearly all day and night, but if you're tired enough, you can sleep. One thing to know: Egyptians from Cairo, Giza and Qalyobia may find it difficult to stay at a downtown hotel without another ID or a passport. Foreigners don't seem to have that problem.

For the price, the hotel is a decent choice. The service staff are humble and easy to deal with, though the reception area isn't good and breakfast isn't included. I think I'd stay here again if I visit Cairo.

Street noise comes straight into the room, as if there were no windows. The furniture is old and falling apart, and the rooms are incredibly dirty. It looked like the floors hadn't been washed or cleaned in a hundred years.
