New Palace Hotel

I spent three nights in a private ensuite room, and ended up with three reasons for giving it one star. The room was so noisy I could hear everything from the road, and I slept badly. There were also mosquitoes everywhere in the second room I stayed in. I woke up several times at night to kill seven, then saw at least five more on the wall and ceiling in the morning. When I asked the receptionist for help, all he could offer was insecticide. My first room had an indoor gas heater, which worried me because of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. It was shared with another room, so I was concerned that I could die while my neighbor was taking a shower. I asked to move, and they agreed.

The receptionists are polite and helpful, and Mr.Sami is around to help when you need something. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioner worked well, and it was quieter than I expected. The location is great, with everything I needed nearby, plus coffee shops and good traditional food along the streets. This was my second day here, and I'm glad I followed the recommendations in the reviews.

The room had what I needed: clean bedding, a towel, and tissues, and they happily brought me another towel when I asked. In the morning my room got plenty of sun, and it was quiet enough to hear birds singing. Everyone was kind and very professional. Miss Marwa introduced herself and checked me in, and Mr Mohamed also came over to welcome me. I felt at home from the moment I arrived and was really happy during my stay. I was in Cairo for a few days and found New Palace hotel. It's downtown, so getting around was super convenient. Breakfast was tasty and served on the rooftop, with a view of the city from the window. Thanks to everyone, and I hope to come back soon 🙏🏻

It's a simple local breakfast, included with the stay. There were a couple of mosquitoes, but you can ask reception for spray anytime. The rooftop terrace is being renovated, so part of it is closed. Shops and restaurants are nearby, too. The staff were kind and helpful, and they'll arrange things you ask for, like an airport transfer or money exchange. It's clean and covers the basics, though it's not fancy or chic. Great price and location, I'd recommend it.
