Safary Hotel

This is a third-class property. Don’t even consider staying here, no matter how desperate you are. I was promised a refund, but they never returned my money.

I arrived from the UK and checked in, but ended up not staying. For the price, the hotel is in decent shape. There’s no air conditioning, although the roof fan works perfectly. The people working in the building were generous, which was a real positive. It’s also right in the middle of a market, so food and other things you might need are close by. I couldn’t manage the four flights of stairs because of a knee injury. There’s no lift, which is why I left.

Get directions to Al Souk Tawfik, since the street listed is wrong. The hotel is on the fifth floor with no lift, so going up and down all day is exhausting. There are markets all around with food and drinks, but the room was dirty, full of bed bugs, and the shared bathroom was absolutely horrid. The staff were the worst part. They were rude and unhelpful, and the service was horrible. You can find much better in the same area for the same price. I seriously recommend staying elsewhere.

A very bad hostel. The room was filthy and the shared room was a horror. I lost my money after cancelling the booking as soon as I arrived. Pay a little more and book somewhere else!
