The location in downtown Cairo is lively, with a lovely neighborhood atmosphere and everything feeling close by. At the hotel, there’s a small kitchen and a cozy coffee area. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the lovely woman who prepares it clearly puts care into it, which made the stay feel homey. The staff were quick and attentive, and they really cared about making sure things were alright whenever I needed something. I’d definitely stay at Sama Hotel again. Mustafa was one of the great staff there.

The rooms were modern and very clean, and I had a great city view from the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Anas. Sama hotel is conveniently situated in Downtown Cairo near lots of restaurants and stores, and not far from the pyramids or other Cairo sights. Highly recommend staying here!

Breakfast was different each day and delicious, and the rooms were comfortable and spotless. There’s a lovely view if you choose that option. The staff were exceptionally polite and looked after us from the moment we arrived, taking care of everything we asked for. A beautiful hotel in the heart of Cairo. I highly recommend it, truly worth it.

I had a five-day stay in room 701, a single, and as an older traveller it suited me perfectly. Breakfast came to my room and was very nice. The hotel is in a fantastic spot, with shops, restaurants, barbers and a chemist just a short distance away, plus two ATMs across the square. I felt fine walking a couple of loops around the hotel at night, and everyone I met was friendly. The staff were all so helpful. I’d forgotten my phone adapter, and the shop immediately right then left a little gave me one, even though he could have sold me a much more expensive one. Youseff at reception was exceptional. Despite the late hour, he booked me a trip to Saqqara. The tour prices were reasonable, and although I usually like doing things myself, they know what they’re doing. Nazeem at reception helped me too. Thanks to the manager and all the staff. SHUKRAN from Jeff 🏴 . I’d have no hesitation coming back. A couple of tips from my trip: take a boat on the Nile from in front of the Four Seasons Hotel, and ABIDIN PALACE MUSEUM is well worth seeing. I also splurged once on a walk-in breakfast at the kempinski hotel. They were friendly, and for £19 you could have as much as you wanted. That worked well when I was up and out before breakfast started at Sama. Late January weather was perfect for me, around a balmy 20° c, with fresh mornings and cool evenings. The GEM is fantastic but MASSIVE, and walking around the Pyramids takes some doing. I took a horse and cart. Safe travels!

The hotel was being repainted outside when I arrived, which didn’t make the best first impression. Inside, though, my room was very clean. I was placed at the back because of the renovation, and that turned out well since the street and nearby cafes can be noisy until after midnight. It’s a busy district full of shops and commercial and industrial suppliers. For me, the handy part was access to the Metro and Ramses Train Station, about a 20-minute walk away. If you’re up for an adventure, the Metro and Micro busses are very cheap, around 10 cents. Taxis are a bit expensive in Cairo, even for locals, and the Nile is about a 30-minute walk. The staff and location make it a great choice for people on a budget. I’d book again if I came back to Cairo.
