Town View Hotel

The room views are beautiful, and the staff were helpful. No complaints, I’ll definitely come back. For the area, short stays are very cheap and affordable, and it’s less than a two-minute walk into the city centre. The rooms are clean and have what you need, including a mini fridge, kettle, TV, and air con. The bed was so comfy, and towels and bathroom soaps were provided. Service was 10 out of 10. Breakfast in the rooftop cafe was brilliant, and there’s also a restaurant and a lounge area at reception with a TV for relaxing. Check-out is at 12pm. Such a lovely hotel.

The rooms, WiFi, and view were great. The bathroom needs maintenance. It’s very close to downtown, though getting there can take some time. Breakfast was ordinary and had no hot drinks. Hot drinks cost extra, and they were too expensive.

The rooftop view was beautiful, and the breakfast menu seemed to change every day. I especially liked the Fallahi breakfast, which was filling, flavorful, and felt homemade. The hotel also has laundry service. Mahmoud at reception was understanding and helpful when I had to go to an ATM on the next street because they only take cash. He checked me in and let me pay later that evening. I spent two nights at Town View Hotel. It was a calm, quick visit, and the prices were reasonable, so I thought it offered good value. The downtown location was convenient and fairly easy to reach, but there were no signs on the main street and it took me about 15 minutes to find the place. The rooms were clean, air-conditioned, and had private bathrooms. They were cleaner than I expected, though the air conditioner was quite noisy at night. One downside was the waiter or supervisor at the rooftop restaurant, also named Mahmoud, I believe. He was loud, rude, and unprofessional, often shouting during breakfast in front of guests. His attitude wasn’t welcoming or appropriate and disturbed what would otherwise have been a peaceful morning.

The building was very old and didn’t look at all like the photos. I had booked a double room for my friend and me two weeks ahead, but when we arrived, they said we couldn’t stay together because I’m Egyptian and he’s German. That made no sense to us. We asked to cancel, and they told me to submit a request that they’d review right away. After we did, the guy ignored us completely, watched Instagram reels, and wouldn’t even look at us.
