When I confronted them about the bed bugs and wanted to cancel the rest of my booked days, they said there were no refunds, even though I'd paid cash. The furniture was the dirtiest I've ever seen, and this was probably the dirtiest hotel I've ever entered. Worst experience with this dirty excuse for a hotel. Don't go unless you want to sleep with bed bugs.

A decent stay for budget travelers, with a basic room and nice air conditioning. The entrance is around the side and has no sign unless you can read Arabic, so just ask someone local. It's on the 10th floor of an old building, and when the lift wasn't available, as happened to me a few times, I had to walk up.

The staff were helpful, and the place is very good value for money. It's a no-frills budget hotel in a fairly central spot, near food hubs and Ramses train station. There are convenience stores close by and several street markets within a ten-minute walk. All in all, a great option for a budget stay in Cairo.

The clean beds and nice staff were the only good parts. The lift wasn't working, and the hotel is ten floors up in a sleazy business building at a busy intersection. Street noise and car horns continued well past midnight. Even backpackers wouldn't like it.
