It’s fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep. The air conditioning needs minor repairs, the hot water is inconsistent, and there aren’t any drinks like coffee inside the hotel.

The room was dirty, the walls had holes, the floor was coming apart, and the bed linen was stained. We didn’t dare use the bathroom for a shower, and the elevator had no doors. The hotel is very old and extremely run down, so don’t trust the internet photos. On the plus side, management were incredibly helpful and breakfast was absolutely huge.

You don’t need to be staying at the hotel to visit the rooftop bar. It’s a great place to start an evening in Cairo, with updated, contemporary patio furniture, liquor and shisha, and fair prices. The staff are nice and speak English well. You can see The Cairo Tower and watch the sunset.

The place was peaceful and pleasant, with a nice location and friendly service. There’s a pool table too. The music selection felt limited when we visited, with live performances from just two artists the whole time, but I had no real complaints.

For the price, it was okay. The room was a good size and clean, though the shower was cramped. The air conditioning was loud and really needed replacing. I was with a small group, and the same issue came up in everyone’s room.
