The staff were kind and helpful, and the location is very convenient, close to the beach. The hotel has a small reserved section there for guests, with sun beds near a restaurant. It's quieter and less sumptuous than the nearby resorts. Families may like the children's playground by the beach. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and well cared for. There were some downsides: the beds weren't very comfortable and the linens were poor quality. We found a cockroach on the first day, and some pots had damaged Teflon, so the kitchenware could use replacing. The biggest issue was the smoke smell, which lingered throughout our stay even though we had a non-smoking room. The hotel allows smoking rooms, and as non-smokers traveling with a 2-year-old, we found that especially bothersome. I wouldn't stay here again.

The apartment had a beautiful view, but that was the only good part of the stay. Avoid apartment 310. We were there for two nights, December 31st and January 1st, hoping for a pleasant New Year's Eve, but the reality was very different. We arrived around 5:00 PM to find no toilet paper, soap or shower gel, drinking water, dishwashing detergent, or basic kitchen items. The mattress was in a terrible state, the pillows badly deformed, and sleep was almost impossible. The living-room sofa was unusable, with no springs and a broken structure that made you sink into holes. We couldn't use the shower at all: the cabin was broken, leaked everywhere, and its door was badly damaged. We had to go elsewhere to shower, which is unacceptable for accommodation. I politely contacted the host about the missing basics and got the shocking answer: “Booking does not obligate me to provide these things.” Dear Natalia, Booking doesn't teach someone to be a good host. Common sense and respect for guests do. The host's care makes an apartment welcoming, and providing toilet paper, soap, drinking water, detergent and basic items is the host's responsibility and basic decency. Hospitality and attention to detail are what make a pleasant stay. We shouldn't have had to go out on New Year's Eve for essentials or just to take a shower. These aren't luxuries, they're the minimum for a decent stay. I do not recommend this host. If a score of 0 existed, that would have been my choice. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable and needs to be said clearly.

El Andalous Apartments is a peaceful, convenient place in Sahl Hasheesh, with two swimming pools, lush gardens, and clean, secure grounds. The staff are friendly and ready to help. It would suit families, couples, or anyone after a calm stay. The apartments are spacious and comfortable, with beautiful Red Sea views. The promenade is easy to reach, and it's a short walk to the beach, picturesque Old Town, and local restaurants.

The apartment has a great view and is nice. In the units we stayed in, the drainage maintenance and AC positioning could be improved. It would also be great to have an outdoor restaurant nearby serving breakfast, since nothing opens before 10 a.m. Not much help for early risers 😂
