Pickalbatros White Beach Resort - Hurghada

Our stay at White Beach was great, and we can certainly recommend it. The hotel is very close to the airport, with a taxi costing at most €10, yet we didn’t hear airplane noise. Rooms were spacious and spotless, the grounds were well maintained, and the staff were extremely friendly. The buffets were good, though a little repetitive for a five-star hotel. The kids’ pools were excellent and heated in winter. Pool service was outstanding, and we appreciated that the no-sunbed-reservation rule was enforced, so there were always plenty of loungers at the pool and beach. We had a good massage and a lovely photoshoot, but €7 per photo felt expensive. We bought only a few despite there being many beautiful pictures. Clearer information on prices or packages beforehand would help. Salespeople around the pool and beach were persistently bothersome, and bathroom signs weren’t clear. At first we walked all the way to the snack bar from the kids’ pool to use the restroom. With children, it can be urgent. On the last day we found a bathroom much closer, but it hadn’t been clearly marked. Service at the lobby bar was noticeably slower than elsewhere in the hotel, where it was generally excellent.

The beach was lovely and kept in great shape, and the whole resort was impressively clean. Staff were always cleaning, from the pool areas to the restrooms. The buffet had a huge range of tasty food, so there was something for everyone. The staff were friendly, especially the cheerful, fun waiters. Highly recommended.

The beach was fantastic, spotless and just right. The excursion office and kit store by the beach had brilliant people, and I’d really recommend going with them, especially for snorkeling or scuba diving. It was magical. The room was clean, well stocked and had a very good view across the complex. Staff were always friendly and helpful. My only little gripe was the food. I’ve tried food from all over the world and enjoy all kinds of flavors, but there seemed to be spice in nearly everything. I’d have liked another non-spicy option besides pizza or the kids’ menu. The hotel itself was lovely.

The food was delicious, varied and well presented, and the restaurant atmosphere and service were just right. From reception through the restaurants and housekeeping, every team member was polite, welcoming and genuinely caring. The front desk staff were professional and helpful from the start. My room was spotless, comfortable and beautifully designed, and the hotel’s cleanliness was outstanding everywhere. The stay combined comfort, luxury and exceptional service. I enjoyed every moment, would highly recommend it for a memorable, relaxing break, and will definitely return.
