The pool was well maintained, and El Khan Hotel is in a handy spot for getting to nearby sights, local culture and shopping. My room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, with an exceptionally comfortable bed that gave me a restful night's sleep. Dining outdoors was a treat, with different delicious dishes made from fresh ingredients. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive and always ready to help with a smile. I felt right at home. Considering the service and amenities, I thought El Khan Hotel was excellent value for money. Every part of my stay felt worth it.

The staff were absolutely top notch, kind and accommodating, and the cleanliness was good. The hotel isn't new, far from it, but it works. The beds and pillows were hard, though I fell asleep after asking for a softer pillow. I stayed for 10 days after booking El Kahn Sharm Hotel for 27.12.25 - 06.01.26, based only on the online feedback on Hotels.com. I wanted to get the most for my money, and was simply surprised at how good it was. You get what you pay for, they say. The kitchen and food were okay for nutritious, healthy food. There wasn't a lot, but it was good enough. If you want a richer table of food, look for another hotel. New Year's Eve was top notch, and that made the difference to my rating of 7/10 stars. The food that evening was so good it couldn't have been better. A big thank you to everyone at the restaurant and bar. A very satisfied Norwegian. Thank you for this time! I stayed two nights at the El Khan. It was cheap, so it was okay, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. The word 'shabby' fits best. It isn't dirty, but it's run-down: plaster crumbling everywhere, cracked tiles, a toilet flush that gets stuck, a shower head that keeps falling off, and broken fixtures. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. There was no fruit, the bread was stale, the coffee was instant in small paper cups, and the omelet was unseasoned. At least there was hot sauce. The hotel runs a bus to a beach by the lighthouse, but I wouldn't want to spend time there. The entrance is unmarked at the top of the cliffs, and you have to climb down a steep staircase. At the bottom, there's a small cove packed with sun loungers, unbearably loud music and too many people. I quickly climbed back up and went to the nearby El Fanar Beach Club.

The food was easily the worst part, bland, cold, poorly cooked and inedible. It felt like leftover scraps had been microwaved and called a meal. I wouldn't serve it to anyone. There was no running water in the rooms, so we couldn't shower, wash our hands or flush properly. They didn't provide tissues or even basic amenities you'd expect in a budget place. The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, with dust everywhere, stained sheets and a disgusting bathroom. It was unhygienic and unacceptable. Service was appalling. Staff were nowhere to be found or completely unhelpful when they did show up. When we asked for water or help, they shrugged or ignored us. I don't even know where to start with how bad this hotel was. It shouldn't be allowed to operate. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even for one night. Spend your money elsewhere, this hotel is a disaster.

Please don't book El Khan Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh. For your safety and peace of mind, I wouldn't stay here. It's not a safe or respectful place for families or anyone. We politely complained about the food quality because the portions were very small and there was almost no variety. The manager, Amir, shouted at us, used very bad language and became physically aggressive instead of helping. The manager Amir and owners Shady and Karim treated guests terribly. When guests try to defend themselves, they blackmail them for money. They use security cameras to record only the parts that benefit them, cutting out the parts where staff insult or attack guests. It happened to us and, we were told, to other guests from Russia too. This place is completely unsafe and unprofessional.
