Naama Bay Promenade Beach Resort Mountain Side

For a short, 3-5 day stay, this is a decent budget option if being in the middle of Naama Bay matters most. The location gives you good value, and the Food & Beverage team did a good job. We were happy with the service, and the beach bar food was quite good. The lifeguards were also attentive and very helpful with families and children, which made beach time more relaxing. The mountain side rooms and common areas feel dated and need serious renovation. The shower curtains should be replaced soon, since they're unhygienic and leave a noticeable smell. The hotel doesn't need to wait for a full renovation to change them for glass partitions or another better option. Reception seemed short staffed every time we visited. There were usually 10-15 people waiting while only one or two staff members worked, and they couldn't keep up. It could also be hard to find staff who spoke fluent English. Expect some check-in waits and older interiors if you stay here.

I stayed in room 241 from May 19 to May 25 and had a really good time. The atmosphere was peaceful, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean, comfortable and well organized. I'd definitely stay again.

The room has two service buttons, and we spent three stressful days wondering why it wasn't being cleaned. Press “Make Up Room” when you leave if you want the room cleaned, and don't press “Do Not Disturb.” Keep that in mind to save yourself the same frustration. For a 4-star hotel, the food was quite good and varied, and there were always enough sunbeds by both the pool and beach.

The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff were very helpful, especially Mohamed, one of the few who speaks Italian really well. The hotel is well located and has a beautiful beach, though the wind was the one downside. The food was international but very spicy. I wouldn't choose to go in December or January.
