Xperience Sea Breeze Resort

The staff made this week-long all-inclusive stay at Xperience Sea Breeze memorable. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and seemed to enjoy their work. They went out of their way to help make it a great holiday. We booked a “swim-up room,” though that’s a bit misleading because the pool is about 10 meters away, rather than directly accessible from the terrace. The room itself was spacious and spotless, with a very comfortable bed. Housekeeping did a fantastic job each day, and the towel art was a fun touch. There are several bars and restaurants, plus a good range of snacks at the pool and beach bars, so you won’t go hungry. Dinner is either buffet or one of two a-la-carte options, Mongolian and Indian. There’s good variety, but I’d call the food good rather than exceptional. It was reliable, though nothing blew me away. There are several pools and a beach area, with different levels of activity, so it’s worth looking around for the spot you like. The “disco bus” was a lifesaver for getting up and down the hill to the beach and jetty. Staff approached us about spa treatments and massages, but it was all in good spirits. A polite no or a joke was usually enough for them to move on. A pleasant stay, thanks especially to the wonderful team.

The shuttle buses were fantastic, and the drivers were a dream. Rooms were satisfactory, had everything we needed, and were cleaned and replenished daily. The food selection was a nice mix, with various restaurants and bars. Our only complaints are the poor Wi-Fi and internet connection. Sharm el sheikh is a lovely place and worth visiting if you want a hotel-based stay. My husband and I prefer more freedom and nightlife.

The food was okay and kept us from being hungry, though there wasn’t a huge choice. Drinks were tasty, with strong, plentiful cocktails always served with a smile. The pool areas were lovely and not too busy. The staff are what really make this place. They make an effort to check you’re happy and have what you need. We’d absolutely come again and recommend it to others. We also had a fantastic experience diving with the Tui company. They were British and came out cheaper than all the local firms we checked. We did 7 dives.

The sea is close, and there are plenty of loungers by it, so we could always find a free one and choose a spot we liked. A shuttle runs all day from farther buildings, coming about every five minutes. There’s a beach bar for snacks, and a large café about 50 meters uphill where you can have a good lunch. Beside the sea is a large heated pool with a bar right in the water, and another large pool with a bar near the dining area. This is a peaceful hotel for a relaxing holiday, with around 400-500 guests and a fairly compact property. The layout is organized and thought through down to the smallest detail. I spoke with lots of other guests, and everyone agreed. Many had returned several times. You shouldn’t expect outstanding animation at a small hotel, though they do try to entertain guests, even at the beach. The main restaurant is comfortable, and we could always find a seat. The menu changes every day, with a different country’s food, such as Italian and Mediterranean one day, then Lebanese and Turkish the next. The food was genuinely excellent. The bars, restaurants, and cafés all have professional coffee machines with a wide selection, and the coffee was outstanding. Alcoholic drinks were served strong and without dilution, and the quality was very good. Cocktails used natural juices, and Coca-Cola and other drinks came in bottles. The beverage and alcohol quality was impeccable. There were ice cream machines at the bars too, and the ice cream was tasty. The rooms were well designed, and everything worked, from the lights to the toilet and showers. They were cleaned daily, and cleanliness was perfect. The reef by the hotel was excellent, with fish of every color and size in abundance. The marked swimming area is tiny, but you can easily swim to the right, past other hotels, along the reef, and quite a long way. It’s a place to relax in body and mind, not for youth parties.
