B&B Hotel Alicante Centro

The hotel is well placed for the train station and airport bus, and it’s an easy walk to the centre and beach. Even with a busy road nearby, the room stayed quiet. It was a little cramped for two, though we’re not big people, and there were scuff marks all over the lower half of the main wall. The rest of the room and bathroom were very clean, and housekeeping seemed attentive, so perhaps they just don’t have time to deal with the wall regularly. The toilet paper was very poor quality, which meant using more of it. The temperature was comfortable and the bed and bedding were nice. The reception area felt warm and practical, and the staff were smiley, kind and helpful. Free tea and coffee were welcome, and breakfast was adequate. A bit more fresh fruit would have been good.

I could hear people in the next room talking, and even their phone vibrating, because the soundproofing wasn’t very good. That was the only real drawback. The staff were helpful and friendly, my room was spotless, and I liked the care they put into reducing waste. This was my second stay at a B&B Hotel, and I had another pleasant visit. I’d gladly stay with B&B Hotels again.

For a business trip, the hotel suited me perfectly. There’s plenty of desk space and outlets, and the rooms are roomy and well built. The coffee machine is free and also makes hot chocolate, with vending machines in the lobby too. I appreciated the straightforward pricing, with no minibar in the room, just a fridge, and no hidden charges. It’s centrally located in Alicante, within walking distance of a few malls, Luceros Plaza, the Tram station and the airport bus station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is mostly eggs, cheese and meat, so I’m not sure I’d suggest it to vegetarians, though there are also toast, pastries, jam and yogurt. It’s a good place for the price.

My single room was comfortable and had a small balcony, which was a nice surprise. The shower had great pressure, and the modern bathroom was spotless. I also slept very well, thanks to the comfortable bed and good-quality linen and towels. The hotel is central in Alicante and felt like very good value. I had a fantastic three-night stay and would happily come back.
