Port Alicante - Playa de San Juan

The staff were accommodating when someone in our party had a medical need, and reception was always there to help. We also had great hospitality from Fernando at the pool bar, and the bar and hotel staff were amazing overall. The pool was fantastic too, and we had a great time staying here. The location was handy, about an eight-minute walk to the beachfront, with some fantastic restaurants within a 15-minute walk.

We found out three days into our stay that there’s a heated rooftop pool, and it’s great for winter and spring weather. They don’t advertise it very well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is close to the beach. A pleasant stay, and I’d love to come back.

The restaurant’s hot dishes were all lukewarm, even though they were on hot plates or under heat lamps. Something needs to be turned up there. Apart from that, the food was good, and breakfast in particular was excellent, with a fantastic range of hot and cold options at both breakfast and dinner. The whole place was spotlessly clean and felt fresh and modern. Everyone on staff we spoke with was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Customer service clearly matters here. The bar prices were very fair, especially with little competition in the area. This is a great hotel for a short or long stay. Fix the food temperature and it would be close to flawless. Many thanks to all the staff for making us feel welcome.

Breakfast had a broad range of good quality food, and there was a chef who could cook eggs just how you wanted. The bar and restaurant were both very good, though drinks and lunch seemed a little overpriced. We didn’t try the dinner buffet, but after that breakfast, I’d expect it to be very good too. The hotel maintained a high standard, and service was consistently great throughout our stay.
