Beautiful duplex with heated pool

We'd stayed at Parque Santiago IV before, back in 2016, and this time booked a self-catering superior studio with a resort view. We were upgraded to one with a sea view. Apartment 1217 was newly renovated and immaculate. The kitchen was well equipped, though we only made breakfast and sandwiches for lunch, not a full meal. It had a full-size fridge-freezer, hob, single oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee filter machine, dustpan and brush, a small sachet of washing-up liquid, sponge, and tea towel. There's a safe for €3 a night. The staff were friendly and helpful, always saying hello. We liked the lack of blaring pool music and staff pulling you into activities. There were plenty of sunbeds, and our son enjoyed the small playground. The WiFi was free, strong, and never dropped out, even for streaming. The showers were hot and powerful, which I rarely find. A couple of things would have made the stay even better: tables beside the pool sunbeds and somewhere in the rooms to hang towels.

I’d happily stay here again when I return to the island. The hotel is comfortable, the service is great, and the ocean view is lovely. Leaving the balcony door open lets you hear the waves, which is really soothing. Staff were helpful and spoke good English, and breakfast had loads of fresh options. A few things need maintenance, like cracked tiles, a shower door that didn’t close properly, and several broken pool lights.

The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, and the pools were great. It’s comfortable, scenic, clean, and well located. It may be listed as a 3-star place, but it felt like 5 stars to us. A lovely spot to unwind.

Families with children should know that construction is happening right outside the complex. It starts around 6-7am every day, weekends included, with heavy machinery, debris going into skips, and constant noise. It’s been going on for over a year, and management says there are at least three more years to go. Our quiet ocean-side holiday turned into a nightmare, and the administration showed no concern when informed. Dust blows onto balconies and ruins clean laundry. Trucks also idle for hours, sending exhaust fumes into this residential area. This is more than noise, it feels like an environmental and health hazard. Book knowing this is happening.
