The rooms felt fresh and clean, like they’d been renovated recently. Staff were lovely and friendly, and helped us with all our questions. There isn’t much sound insulation, so you can hear other guests being lively. It didn’t bother us, though it may not suit everyone. A microwave in the room would’ve been nice, but one is available if you ask. I’d definitely recommend this hostel.

I wasn’t able to stay because renovation work was still going on around the room I’d booked. There was too much noise and the smell of paint. I couldn’t understand the manager at the hostal, since he kept speaking Spanish to me. When I asked for a refund because I couldn’t stay, he refused. Booking didn’t help either, so I had to find another hostel on my own.

The location was great and the staff were very friendly, but I came back with bites and a doctor confirmed they were from bedbugs. We’re asking for partial compensation, but nobody has replied. We also want the bed in room 203 checked so future guests don’t get bitten.

The customer service was terrible. I needed to change the dates of my stay, and that caused several problems on the booking platform. They weren’t clear about what they’d done or what the platform was suggesting, and didn’t try to resolve the issue from their side. They were also extremely rude. I’ve never been spoken to that way by hostel staff, with messages in caps lock and almost calling me dumb for “not seeing the history of messages,” even though I clearly had.
