Bailén Green House

The room had everything we needed and was very clean. We also appreciated how quiet it was, and the guy at reception was super friendly and took time to explain the area. We were two adults looking for somewhere central with enough room, and Green House Accommodations gave us a lovely corner room with a balcony in a safe neighborhood. There were cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as easy access to public transportation. We stayed in February this year, found the price fair, and had a great time in Barcelona. Thank you!

The location felt safe and was very good for buses, though Sagrada Família was about a 20 minute walk away. The sheets and towels weren't cleaned properly, and I got a bad skin irritation from the bedsheets. There was a yellow, stained blanket in the room. I left it on the floor, but after a lady had been "cleaning," it was back in the room, still dirty. When I was sick, I begged them to clean the bathroom, but they didn't use any solution, so I bought something myself because I assume they only clean with water. Our room had no window to the outside. Its only window looked into a hallway room where they kept sheets and toilet paper on shelves, and guests could go in and take what they needed before reception finished its hours. We had no fresh air during our stay. They had just one iron, and when I needed it, the man at reception argued that he didn't know who had taken it and that I had to wait. I needed it to go out too. We liked that the room was very clean and came with a fridge, safe, and very good AC. Housekeeping came daily, and the staff doing it were lovely. Our room at the back had an enclosed terrace instead of a balcony, so it was really quiet. The neighborhood felt safe and had plenty of amenities, with a metro station two blocks away. The bedding was awful, though. Each guest got one tiny, very thin pillow, so we had to add towels to make them comfortable. The bed cover was literally just a loose sheet, with no duvet or blanket, which we hated, especially with full AC in the room. The shower leaked so badly that the bathroom flooded each morning and the bath mat was soaking wet. There was no room bin, just a tiny one in the bathroom.

We paid a very good price, especially since Barcelona had become more expensive after the pandemic compared with when we booked. The neighborhood was nice and safe, with lots of bars, restaurants, bakeries and other places. The main attractions were about a 30 minute walk away, and there were plenty of ways to get around by public transport. Service was great. We got an early check-in, could head out to explore, and our room was cleaned every day. Towels and sheets were changed after three nights. The beds were good, and we could share one with our child. For what we paid, it was very good. I can live with the small inconveniences. Let's be reasonable, I really can't complain.
