I came back to this gym after two years and found clear improvements: newer equipment, cleaner facilities, better pool conditions, and a friendlier reception team. The personal training consultation situation is still disappointing, though. I was charged for a session that never happened, and they would only reschedule it rather than cancel it. There’s progress, but trainer service and clear pricing still need work.

From my experience at many gyms, this one doesn’t feel worth what it costs. Cleanliness is uneven, I’ve seen cockroaches in the spa more than once, some of the machines seem dated, and customer service has been unhelpful in several interactions. One nice extra is the small coworking area downstairs, next to a restaurant. A few times, while working there, I wanted to sit at a nearby table to eat something small instead of using the shared stools. I was told I couldn’t because the area belonged to the restaurant, even when it was empty, and was directed to eat by the entrance. I understand wanting to protect the restaurant seating, but at this price there should be a designated alternative. The membership terms are another issue. There’s a €400 joining fee, and you have to pay it again if you cancel and later rejoin. In a city with so many expats who travel or relocate temporarily, that policy doesn’t fit the customer base well.

The communication could be much better. Members have to log in digitally every day, yet in 2026 there’s no digital way to contact the club to change or cancel a membership, either through the app or by email. It’s a beautiful, well-maintained gym with a great atmosphere and lovely staff. Inside, there’s a level with all the best Technogym equipment, plus a beautiful rooftop with squat racks and views of Sagrada Família. The spa and sauna area feels like a hotel. Great gym.

I’ve been a member for three years, and the experience has kept slipping while prices continue to rise. The free weights area is always overcrowded, especially at peak times, so workouts become frustrating and inefficient. Some coaches also come across as arrogant or dismissive instead of welcoming and helpful. It’s hard to bring friends or guests because day passes cost too much. After several years as a member, the rewards and benefits still feel very limited. The gym has good equipment and potential, but management needs to handle capacity better, improve the customer experience, and show more appreciation to members if the rising prices are going to make sense.
