The back courtyard is such a peaceful, lovely place to relax, and the location felt safe. Staff were friendly too. The women’s dorm was cozy and very comfortable. Showers are on the small side, but clean. 😊😊

The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, and the location was good, but I can’t say much else in its favor. Our room smelled of urine or vomit, I really couldn’t tell, and the bed frame was disgustingly dirty, though the sheets were clean. One receptionist was nice; the others were unfriendly, and one was incredibly rude. On our last day I asked to leave my luggage for a few hours, and he literally said, “your luggage will be in the street after 10pm.” There were so many ways to tell me to collect it by 10pm, and he chose that one. I wouldn’t stay here again if I return to Barcelona. Receptionists at hostels and hotels should show some respect to the customers who keep the business going.

We had a lovely, clean room on floor 4 with our own bathroom and a big tub. We were traveling with a rental car and parked in the garage across the street. The check-in clerk was very nice and gave us lots of ideas for places to visit. It was a great place to stay.

The staff were very helpful and found a creative way to add another sleeping spot for us. We were first given a perfect room, then moved to a fantastic, spacious apartment with all the comforts of home for the extra night. We stayed two nights with my parents and brother, and the price was very good. The rooms were nice and the staff friendly. The one concern was a gas leak smell outside, coming through one of the shafts by the bathroom window on the 4th floor. I told them it could be very dangerous and explained why, since I work in the petroleum industry, but they seemed to take it lightly. I’m afraid it could end up in the news one day if they don’t fix it.
