I was traveling for work and the hotel was booked for me, so I’m not really judging it on price. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, and the staff there were very friendly, though the lighting wasn’t especially cozy. The room was clean, and housekeeping did a good job bringing fresh linen every day. Still, it looked worn, with some visible damage. I couldn’t open the room door because its mechanism was broken, and when I first got in, the heating was blasting. There was no cooling, so it took a while to bring the temperature down. I was also surprised to see ashtrays, since smoking in rooms can leave unpleasant smells for non-smokers. In general, the staff were helpful and I had a good stay.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, and it wasn’t worth the money. The staff came across as rude and weren’t much help. Cleaning was poor, and the shower drain was blocked, so water pooled while I showered. With such thin walls, street sounds and noise from neighboring rooms carried through, making it hard to rest. Getting around was convenient: the nearest bus stop was a two-minute walk away, and the city center took about 20 minutes by bus.

Breakfast had a good range of choices, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms were practical and comfortable, and the hotel itself felt modern, clean and well maintained. For my business trip, it was a reliable and comfortable place to stay. The older, more central parts of Barcelona are a bit of a journey from here. The elevators also moved quite slowly, especially at busy times.

The staff were lovely, but I don’t think this room deserves a four-star rating. The bed had four wheels and kept rolling around, even when I sat or lay on it. There was no carpet, just cold stone flooring. It seemed clean, but the place felt very run down. The photos gave a misleading impression. The hotel is old, and some areas looked as if they were being repaired. In one spot, though, it was just a hole in the ceiling with the pipes exposed.
