Catalonia Gran Vía Bcn

Dana at reception made our trip easier and more enjoyable. She was polite, professional, and helpful throughout, and went above and beyond with arranging taxis and booking restaurants. Her friendly manner and great service took a lot of stress out of things. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and well placed for exploring the city. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it.

We arrived well before check-in, and the staff stored our luggage securely. When we came back to check in, our bags had already been moved to our room. The front desk greeted us whenever we came or went and were happy to call a cab when we asked. Service was outstanding. We also got a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, plus chocolates and a bottle of wine every couple of days. The hotel and room both have a modern feel. The walk-in shower had a rainfall head and an adjustable handheld one, with consistently hot water and good pressure. There were several euro 220v outlets, one on each side of the bed, plus a couple of USB-A ports. The room also had a safe and mini-fridge. We’d be more than happy to stay here again.

A very good place to stay in Barcelona, close to two metro stations. Universitat L1 is right in the heart of everything. The staff were helpful, especially when arranging a taxi, and I recommend considering this hotel. Someone has misplaced it on Google Maps, though, so use the address from bookingdotcom instead. I forgot to take room photos, but it was quite large. One thing to complain about: complimentary water was only provided on the first date. I don’t think that’s very generous, they could offer it every day.

After a long day out in Barcelona, the bed and pillows made it easy to get proper rest. The soundproofing was great and the air conditioning worked well. The location was excellent too, with a metro stop and residential amenities nearby. Highly recommend.
