We couldn't move to another room, and they wouldn't refund us. It made for a really disappointing birthday, and the service was very poor. We'd booked a twin room and requested one, but were given a double with stained bedding and towels. The room also felt rough and dated, unlike the listing. The first receptionist was great and could see my request, admitting it had been missed. In the morning, the manager denied knowing about the twin request, even though I offered to send proof. She also said the mark on the bedding was part of the pattern, though it didn't match the identical blanket beside it. When Booking.com contacted her, she continued to deny the problems.

The staff were kind and the location is convenient, but the compact room and bathroom, basic amenities, and high price are worth bearing in mind. The city tax is €6.60 per person, per night, which adds up. The bed was comfortable, if a little small. Ciudad Condal Hostal , Paseo de Gracia is right on the elegant Paseo de Gracia, close to major sights, places to eat and drink, and public transport. We had a problem with the shower, with no water coming out, but the staff fixed it that same day. There’s an elevator, which helps with luggage. It’s a handy place for a short Barcelona stay, though the price feels a bit high for the space and basic services.

I'm a fussy, clean gay boy, and I'd recommend this place to anyone. I've never felt so welcome, and the service was fantastic. The staff were so sweet and caring. It's in a great spot, with all the famous shopping centers within walking distance, and the neighborhood and surrounding area felt super safe. Thanks for everything and for such an unforgettable welcome.

As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe here, and it was close to the sights I wanted to visit. Casa Batllo and Mila are right next door, while Sagrada Familia is within walking distance if you're up for the walk. For the area, the price was really good. My room was clean, nice, and a good size, with a beautiful view from the window. The staff spoke pretty good English and were very helpful. I highly recommend it.
