Fisa Rentals Gran Via Apartments

The ladies at the office, just one block away, were lovely and helpful, and check-in was easy. We’d happily stay with Fisa rentals again when we return to Barcelona, and I’ve already recommended the place to family. We had everything we needed in this spacious apartment on Gran Via, a five-minute walk of three blocks from Plaça de Catalunya. It’s central but surprisingly quiet. The kitchen worked well and had a washing machine and dishwasher, and the rooms were spotless when we arrived. Both beds were comfortable. For our baby, they’d set up a full cot with mattress, sheets, pillow, and quilt, plus a baby bath support for the shower. That was above what we expected and really helpful. There’s a corner shop, a nice bakery, and a great cafe/restaurant downstairs on the street. Taxis wait in a bay right outside, so we never had to find one. There’s an elevator in the lobby, though you have to manage a couple of steps to reach it. Lifting a pushchair up was fine. Thank you!

They even helped arrange a taxi for our departure, which was above and beyond. Getting registered went smoothly, and access to the building was easy. It’s on a main avenue and very well placed, yet quiet and easy to get into. The apartment was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Everything went well from start to finish, and I’d highly recommend it.

If you’re bringing lots of heavy bags, getting them inside may be awkward. There are a few steps to carry them up, and the elevator is quite small. Even so, I highly recommend the place. It’s spacious and quiet, a good fit for families or longer stays in Barcelona. You’re near the metro, taxis, restaurants, bakeries, and a mini market, with Zara and plenty of other shops only a short walk away. The location is central but away from the noise.

Luggage storage was poorly handled too. They sent locations but no access codes, and it took several messages before we learned there was a free option. Checkout rules were unreasonable, with guests expected to make the bed and take out the trash. We weren’t told before booking about extra charges such as tourist tax and insurance, or about a limit on water use. There was no customer service or help available on weekends or holidays, which was completely unacceptable. The property was misleading and poorly managed, and the whole stay was full of unpleasant surprises. One of my worst stays in Barcelona. I wouldn’t recommend it.
