We’d booked the apartment weeks ahead, and the owner had even sent check-in details. But when we turned up with our one-year-old, we were told the booking had been cancelled for no reason. We never got an email, and there was no self check-in. The instructions also said there was a camera inside the house, which we found strange. Communication was bad, and the owner didn’t seem to care about guests. I travel a lot, and this was my worst booking ever.

We eventually got a refund, including the cancellation fee, through the booking site, but the arrival was a mess. No one answered when we got to the apartment, the elevator was broken, the passcode didn’t work, and the front door was shut. We only got inside because someone happened to be leaving, and the accommodation code still didn’t work. After several tries we reached the host by phone, but they just kept saying “problem” and did nothing. They had sent check-in messages up to a few days before we arrived, then stopped responding when we needed help getting in. Do not book this place under any circumstances!

We were left outside at midnight with our one-year-old baby. When we arrived, we found out the owner had cancelled our reservation without telling us why.

I booked three months ahead, but the reservation was cancelled just two days before the trip. It was F1 weekend, so maybe the owner thought they could earn more by double-booking. I’d recommend avoiding this place.

We made a reservation, then it was cancelled without any reason or explanation just weeks before check-in. The owner has no qualms about letting people down. If you’re thinking of booking, don’t. I can’t recommend it.
