Habitat Apartments Parlament Balconies

The apartment itself, Apartment Parlament Balconies, was pleasant and reasonably priced. The problems were with Habitat Apartments’ service. The person who showed us in seemed unprepared and struggled to put together two clear sentences in either English or Spanish. The day before our actual check-out, an employee let himself into the apartment with his own key and told us we had to leave by 11 that morning. We were due to check out the following day. We’d also agreed with the person who met us on arrival that he’d return our 300 euro deposit at 8 pm, since we were leaving at 4 am the next day. He had repeated the date and time to himself many times a few days earlier, but didn’t turn up or answer his phone. The 24-hour line said they’d try to reach him and call me back. They never did. Our last evening in Barcelona turned into a stressful wait without our money or a proper night’s sleep, instead of the tapas and wine we’d planned. We eventually got the deposit back, but only after a week of uncertainty and far too many messages and calls. The whole thing was frustrating, and the representatives’ unprofessional behavior is a serious problem. The apartment is nice and good value, but I’d be wary about booking with the company again.
