We spent all five days and four nights in an apartment with no working heat. It stayed around 16.5°C indoors, which was miserable with the cold weather outside. They didn't provide an electric heater or any other alternative. Someone said blankets would be brought over, but we got just one for three guests sleeping in separate bedrooms. We raised the issue during the stay and the owner came by, but the heating still wasn't fixed by the time we left. It really affected our experience.

The apartment itself was fine, but dealing with customer service was a bad experience. You have to return to your reservation and pay after the deposit and cancellation period, since they don't charge you automatically or send a reminder. Otherwise you can end up locked out. If it happens on a weekend, they're closed except for emergencies, and the emergency line can't explain extra charges because billing isn't available. You're stuck paying whatever they ask. They also say you might be able to leave your bags on departure day. But they couldn't find my booking or stay details until I sent several screenshots and spent 45 minutes sorting it out with them. In the end, they still couldn't store the bags. There are better options. Good luck.

The heating never worked during our four-night stay, and the apartment was around 16.5°C inside. With the cold outside, it was really uncomfortable. They didn't offer an electric heater or other backup, and the promised blankets turned out to be just one for three people in separate bedrooms. We reported it straight away and the owner visited, but nothing was fixed before we left. It took a lot out of our vacation.

After four nights here, I'd probably pick a hotel next time. The place looked much better in the photos than it did in person. It was dim, cold, and the furniture was worn and dirty. The couch had what looked like semen stains, the decorative pillows smelled, and neither the internet nor the TV worked. Check-in was frustrating too. I asked if we could get in an hour early and got no reply. We waited until 3:00 PM, and even then I had to call because we still didn't have the access key. No one from the accommodation was around when we needed help. They took a month to return my deposit, and only after I asked why it was taking so long. They kept giving me misleading answers about sending it to the financial department. I also asked for an invoice in my name for the paid accommodation, but it still hasn't arrived and they keep making excuses. They bother you when they want payment, but when you need something, they're nowhere to be found. A hotel with a 24-hour reception would be a better choice.

Our New Year's Eve trip was ruined by a stay with Habitat Apartments in Barcelona. We spent hours locked out because they gave us the wrong apartment number and floor. We tried different floors and doors to check the information, and spent hours on the phone with customer service, who couldn't fix it. It was exhausting after a long travel day. The building itself was beautiful, but the apartment was dirty when we arrived, with hair, dust, and grime around. The furnishings were cheap, dated IKEA pieces that looked heavily used and neglected. Then, at 11:30 PM on our first night, we got a call saying we were making too much noise and had set off an alarm. We were just talking casually in the living room, with no music, loud TV, or party. A security person arrived and wouldn't identify themselves, which made us feel unsafe. Habitat's team wouldn't confirm they had sent this person, so we worried it could be a scam or attempted robbery. The same thing happened again another night, also while we were having an ordinary conversation. If seven adults can't talk normally in an apartment, it shouldn't be listed as an Airbnb, especially over New Year's Eve. We'd booked this as a special reunion with friends from around the world. Instead, Habitat Apartments felt disorganized, dismissive, unprofessional, and unsafe from beginning to end. We deeply regret booking and would never recommend Habitat Apartments or this listing. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.
