The service was phenomenal, the kind of help you remember because the man at the desk really wanted us to feel comfortable. That was unexpected and very welcome. The shared bathrooms were also very clean, and the plain rooms had good quality fans for air conditioning. The accommodation is very basic, just as advertised, so that's why I gave four stars. Still, it exceeded our expectations in a few ways and is a strong choice for anyone looking for basic, hostel-level accommodation.

I got stranded in Barcelona, and the staff helped me sort out a train and taxi. They were very helpful and spoke fluent English. The service was excellent, even if the place may be a little expensive for what you get.

We left our luggage at reception for several hours while we explored Barcelona before catching our train. The staff were friendly, chatty, and spoke French and English. We did have to ask for toilet paper when we arrived, and the man was very apologetic about it. The rooms are dated, and the walls need a fresh coat of paint. Quite expensive for what you get.

The location was really convenient, and the room was simple but fine. We had to ask for a water boiler and cups. Our universal adapters kept falling out of the wall socket because they were too long and heavy. We bought an extension cord and a simple Europe-to-American adapter at the Orient store downstairs, which was very handy.
