Very clean, and nice too.

We were able to get to Plaça de Catalunya and La Rambla on foot in just a few minutes, so there was no need for public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned every day. One of our two rooms had a fridge, which was handy in the summer. Our room faced the street, though, and the old windows and doors let in a lot of noise at night. That could be tough if you're a light sleeper.

For the price, the location works well, especially if you're arriving by bus, since it's near the bus station. The rooms are basic, though that's what you'd expect from a one-star place. It feels more like a guesthouse, with the showers and toilets out on the landing. The staff I met spoke only Spanish, and reception seemed to be unattended after 7:00 PM, maybe earlier. Some Russian guests who spoke only Russian thought my group and I were the owners and started to suspect a scam 🤔. It's a good deal if you're fine with a more "Spanish hostel" kind of atmosphere. I think Serge is exaggerating a little. It's a really good guesthouse, and the staff are friendly. Restaurants and the center are close by. I didn't sleep well because of the mosquitoes, but otherwise I had a good stay.
